What is Parking Management?
The Parking Management module is a centralized system for tracking and managing all parking spot assignments in your property. It provides a grid view where you can see at a glance which spots are occupied, who's parked where, and what vehicles are authorized.

Accessing Parking Management
Step 1: Navigate to the module

From your Elevate OS dashboard, go to Operations

Look for Parking Management

Click to open the Parking Management grid
Can't see Parking Management? The Parking Management tab is available only if your property has activated this module. If you don't see this tab or it appears locked, contact Elevate OS team to enable Parking Management for your property.
Step 2: Understanding the interface
When you open Parking Management, you'll see a data grid with the following columns:

Setting up parking spots
Initial setup via CSV import
Parking spots are imported into the system through a CSV file managed by Elevate OS team.
Important: Only Elevate OS team can upload or modify the parking spot list. If you need to add, remove, or rename parking spots, contact Elevate OS
support team with the required changes.

spot_number - The display name/number for the spot

Once imported, these spots appear in your grid and are ready for resident assignment.
Assigning parking spots to residents
Step 1: Locate the parking spot

Use the search bar to find a specific parking spot by number

Or scroll through the paginated list (adjust entries per page: 10/25/50)
Step 2: Edit the assignment

Click the pencil icon ✏️ in the row of the parking spot you want to assign

The Edit Parking Spot modal will open

Step 3: Complete the assignment form
In the Edit modal, you'll see:
Available fields:

Parking Spot (Read-only) - Shows which spot you're editing

Select Resident - Searchable dropdown to select the resident

License Plate Number - Required if no resident selected

Vehicle Color - Optional descriptive field
-
Vehicle Make - Optional (e.g., Toyota, Ford)

Vehicle Model - Optional (e.g., Camry, F-150)
Step 4: Save your changes
The Save button becomes enabled when:

A resident is selected, OR
-
A license plate number is entered
Click Save to update the assignment.
Success indicators:

✅ Green banner: "Changes were successfully saved"

❌ Red banner: "Error occurred saving changes. Please try again"
Managing vehicle information
Adding vehicle details
When assigning a parking spot, capture as much vehicle information as possible:

License Plate - The most critical identifier

Vehicle Color - Helps with visual identification

Vehicle Make & Model - Useful for security and towing situations
Tip: While only one field is required to save, completing all vehicle fields helps security staff quickly identify authorized vehicles and spot unauthorized ones.
Updating vehicle information
Residents change vehicles? No problem:

Find the parking spot using search

Click the edit pencil ✏️

Update the vehicle details

Save changes
The system immediately reflects the new vehicle information.
Search and navigation features
Using search effectively
The search function helps you quickly find specific parking spots:

Search by spot number - Type the exact spot number

Partial matching - Start typing and see matching results

Real-time results - Updates as you type or after pressing Enter
Pagination controls
For properties with many parking spots:

Entries per page - Choose 10, 25, or 50 rows

Page indicators - See your current position in the data

Can't see Parking Management in menu
Solution:

Solution: Ensure you have either:

Selected a resident from the dropdown, OR

Entered a license plate number
At least one of these fields is required to save.
Changes not saving
