Managing vehicle information

Adding vehicle details

When assigning a parking spot, capture as much vehicle information as possible:

Vehicle Information Fields
  1. License Plate - The most critical identifier

  2. Vehicle Color - Helps with visual identification

  3. Vehicle Make & Model - Useful for security and towing situations

Tip: While only one field is required to save, completing all vehicle fields helps security staff quickly identify authorized vehicles and spot unauthorized ones.

Updating vehicle information

Residents change vehicles? No problem:

  1. Find the parking spot using search

  2. Click the edit pencil ✏️

  3. Update the vehicle details

  4. Save changes

The system immediately reflects the new vehicle information.

Search and navigation features

Using search effectively

The search function helps you quickly find specific parking spots:

  • Search by spot number - Type the exact spot number

  • Partial matching - Start typing and see matching results

  • Real-time results - Updates as you type or after pressing Enter

Pagination controls

For properties with many parking spots:

  1. Entries per page - Choose 10, 25, or 50 rows

  2. Navigation buttons - Move between pages

  3. Page indicators - See your current position in the data

Best practices

🎯 Do's:

  • Keep data current - Update assignments as residents move in/out

  • Capture license plates - Essential for towing and security

  • Use consistent formatting - Standardize how you enter vehicle info

  • Regular audits - Periodically review all assignments for accuracy
